MBC drama “Miss Ripley” pre-sold to Japan

Ahead of its Korean premiere this month, MBC drama “Miss Ripley” has been reported have pre-sold its rights to Japan.

An official of the drama confirmed that they pre-sold the right to a Japanese agency and has yet to decide to set a date for the show’s broadcast. Although they have declined to reveal who bought the rights of the broadcast, it has been confirmed that the pre-selling of the show was expected due to Park Yoochun and Lee Dahae’s participation in the production.

“Miss Ripley” is set to be broadcasted in South Korea on the 30th of May, following the finale of “The Duo.”

Dream High Filming Set To Be Opened To The Public

The city of Goyang in Gyeonggi-do expressed on April 28th that they will open up the filming site of Kirin Arts High School, which was featured in the KBS2TV drama “Dream High”, to the general public.

The filming location at Ilsandong-gu composes of the director’s office used by Bae Yong Jun, the performance stage, practice room, the room used by IU and Kim Soo Hyun. Also, the sound system, storyboard, photo zones, props and merchandise, etc. will all be set up.

It will be open for free from April 30th to June 12th (10am to 5pm). Groups should make advance bookings with the official Dream High fan cafe for admission (, while individuals can visit the place directly.

In future, the city has plans to provide school field trips as well as a place for spring picnics. During the 16th Goyang Korea Flower Festival, tour buses are also scheduled to run once a day from May 1st to 15th.

Manga “Ore no Sora Keiji Hen” set to become a drama

Motomiya Hiroshi’s manga, “Ore no Sora Keiji Hen”, will be turned into a TV Asahi drama series!

An announcement on a special website created especially for the upcoming drama states that the lead actor will be chosen through a public audition. Those who would like to apply can download the necessary documents on the website, but must be between the ages of eighteen and thirty to be considered for the role. The actor chosen will be receive one million yen (approximately $12,100 USD) as a prize, in addition to playing the main character, Yasuda Ippei.

The original “Ore no Sora” tells the story over a man named Yasuda Ippei, the son of Japan’s largest conglomerate, “Yasuda Group”. In the “Keiji Hen” sequel, Yasuda becomes a righteous young police detective who fights villains. This version of the manga was published in Weekly Young Jump from 1979 until 1981. A 1998 cinema adaption also featured Takeushi Riki as Yasuda Ippei.

Secret Garden radio version to broadcast in April

SBS’s drama “Secret Garden,” which brought about various syndromes, is currently being remade into a radio version.

Secret Garden’s radio version will be a special remake of the drama’s 16 episodes and will air on SBS’s Love FM (103.5 MHz) in the spring of 2011. Hyun Bin, Ha Jiwon, Yoon Sang Hyun, Kim Sa Rang along with other members of the cast will lend their voice to this radio remake. For the fans that cannot yet forget the drama, they plan to convey a different type of feeling.

For the radio version of “Secret Garden,” there will be a narrator that will help the audience understand and feel the situation. The narrator will be actor Jung Inki, who played the role of of Ha Jiwon’s character’s father in the original drama.

The radio version will broadcast starting on the 9th of the next month till the end of May. It will broadcast on Saturday and Sunday every week at 11:15am for an hour.

“Dream High” confirmed for another season

KBS recently announced that they have picked up their popular show “Dream High” for a second season. The teenage drama has been in talks for another season since the first season’s production. Now it will continue to showcase stories focusing on the youth generation.

The show’s casting is still in discussion as they are determining whether or not they will be recruiting K-Pop idols or looking to start an audition process. Season 2 is planned to possibly to premiere during the winter break in January 2012.

Since the first season was such a success, the show’s producers hope to recapture the same magic for the second round. Are you excited for another season of the show?

Dream high is the story of Kirin School of Arts students with their unique talents, singing, dancing, acting dan modeling and from various family background, try hard to become a superstar.
This Korean Drama also tells about friendship, dedication, love and the relationship between parents and children, teacher and students. This drama also has some funny scenes but still inline with the plot.
For those who like music, this drama is worth to be seen, the soundstracks are good to listen with nice beat and melody.

Moral of the story :
1. Stay humble if someday you are already to be a success one.
2. Hard working and never give up to reach you dreams.
3. Parents, please give your children your fully support and love them always, give your empathy to your children.
4. Always love and remember your friends and always maintain good relationship with them.

Casts :
Song Sam-Dong (Kim Soo-Hyun) lives in the country side and dreams of becoming an owner of a stock farm. He falls in love with Ko Hye-Mi (Bae Suji) at first sight and follows her to Kirin High School of Art. There he discovers his genius like musical talent.

Jin-Gook (TaecYeon) is a gifted dancer, but a troubled student at school. The director of Kirin High School of Art ((Bae Yong-Jun)) recommends to Jin-Gook to enroll at his school. There, Jin-Gook’s talents blossom and he now dreams of becoming a global star.

Exchange student Jason (Wooyoung) comes to Kirin High after receiving the top score for new applicants. He comes from abroad and shows outstanding skills as a dancer.

Ko Hye-Mi (Bae Suji) is the most popular girl at Kirin High. She carries herself as a confident girl, but inside hides a sad past. She dreamed of becoming a world renown classical vocalist, but after the collapse of her family she had no choice but to enter Kirin High School of Art. She is loved by Song Sam-Dong and Jin-Gook.

Yoon Becky (Eun Jung) looks up to Ko Hye-Mi, who appears to have everything. They soon become rivals.

Eria (Yoon Young-Ah) is a popular teen star. She enters Kirin High School of Art and becomes the object of admiration by her peers. She looks forward to having a “regular” school life.

Na Bori (Gong Hyo Jin) is a 25 year old woman who desperately wants to be a teacher at the high school she was kicked out of due misunderstanding with her teachers over injuring a group of male classmates.
