Motomiya Hiroshi’s manga, “Ore no Sora Keiji Hen”, will be turned into a TV Asahi drama series!
An announcement on a special website created especially for the upcoming drama states that the lead actor will be chosen through a public audition. Those who would like to apply can download the necessary documents on the website, but must be between the ages of eighteen and thirty to be considered for the role. The actor chosen will be receive one million yen (approximately $12,100 USD) as a prize, in addition to playing the main character, Yasuda Ippei.
The original “Ore no Sora” tells the story over a man named Yasuda Ippei, the son of Japan’s largest conglomerate, “Yasuda Group”. In the “Keiji Hen” sequel, Yasuda becomes a righteous young police detective who fights villains. This version of the manga was published in Weekly Young Jump from 1979 until 1981. A 1998 cinema adaption also featured Takeushi Riki as Yasuda Ippei.
